How World Cup 2026 Group C has unfolded

Morocco struck first blood in round two, Ismael Saibari’s early goal settling a 1-0 win over Scotland and lifting the Atlas Lions level with Brazil. Hours later Brazil finally clicked, Matheus Cunha scoring twice and Vinicius Junior adding a third in a 3-0 win over Haiti that confirmed the Caribbean side’s elimination. After a cagey opening round, where Brazil and Morocco drew 1-1 and Scotland edged Haiti, the group has burst open. Read the round-two reports: Brazil 3-0 Haiti and Scotland 0-1 Morocco.

What is next

The final round pairs Brazil with Scotland and Morocco with Haiti. Brazil and Morocco control their own fate: a win takes either through, and the top spot may come down to goal difference, where Brazil hold a two-goal edge. Scotland must beat Brazil and hope, while Haiti are already out. Follow it on our standings page and live scores, and revisit the day in our June 19 hub.

How Group C can qualify

The top two go through automatically, with the third-placed side still able to reach the Round of 32 as one of the eight best third-placed teams. Brazil and Morocco are firmly in the box seats; Scotland’s three points may yet be enough for a third-place berth if results elsewhere fall right.
