What is at stake
Mexico beat South Africa 2-0 in their opener, organised and direct under Javier Aguirre, while South Korea came from behind to beat Czechia 2-1 thanks to Hwang In-beom’s equaliser and an assist for Oh Hyeon-gyu’s winner. Win here and either side all but books a Round of 16 place as group winners. The loser still has a final game against the group’s bottom two to put things right.
